Lee was born and raised in the college town of Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Started taking guitar lessons at the age of 12. Started playing drums with a cover band doing mostly college parties and events in 1986 at the age of 16. In 1988, Lee decided he wanted to write and record original material. His first band was called “Mean Streak”. To get more serious about the music, he joined a band called “Strait Face”. They recorded and released their first cd entitled “Ready to Rock” in 1991. They toured through Mississippi, Louisiana, Tennessee, Arkansas, and Texas to support the release. In 1993, after relocating to the Mississippi Gulf Coast he joined “Rosetta Stone”. Mainly a cover band, they played many shows in the surrounding area. In 1995, Lee formed a power trio called “Daze of Machine”. For the first time he was handling all the vocal duties as well as guitar. The material for the cd, “Days of Demos”, headed in a more alternative, modern direction. After the release, the band toured the east coast from Florida all the way to Virginia. Frustrated with the music scene, Lee quit playing music in late 1996. During 1997, Lee decided music was in his blood and started writing again. “Breadline” was formed in 1998 and recorded their debut cd, “Vicious Race” at Hollyhouse Studios, with Clyde Holly twisting the knobs. The cd was released in 1999 and the band stayed busy the next two years playing clubs throughout the region. In 2001 they recorded “Over The Edge” with Billy Harshbarger handling the recording. “Breadline” came to an end in 2002. “Brakeven” was formed shortly thereafter. The band produced and recorded in their studio the first release, “Just Deal With It”, in 2003. In 2004, they decided to use Billy Harshbarger for recording once again. “Relentless” was released later that year. “The Damn Hands” was the next project. Basically a “reformed” version of Brakeven, they produced and recorded in their studio the cd plainly titled, “The Damn Hands”. After Hurricane Katrina demolished the Mississippi Gulf Coast, “The Damn Hands” found it hard to carry on, so in early 2006 the band called it quits. In 2008 a friend of a friend of a friend told Lee of a possible bass guitar spot open in the band “Biloxi”. Lee decided to give them a call. The rest of the story is still being written right now……………….
